While I love my coffee I love tea even more. Growing up in the south, we constantly had a pitcher of tea in the fridge.
As I got older I eventually found out there were a ton of different types of tea out there and one that I have come to really love is chai.
It combines the flavor of black tea, that I love, and tops it off with a nice warm taste from spices like pepper and cinnamon finished with a super creamy texture thanks to the milk.
Some my other favorite flavors in life include vanilla and caramel so I'm especially in love with this Chai Vanilla Caramel Latte that helps me relax at the end of the day.
The best part is that it takes just minutes to make thanks to TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods, which are made from milk, tea leaves, and spices.
Did you know that chai has been around for about 5,000 years in Indian history? For a tea blend to have lasted that long, you know it has to be good.
It can traditionally take a bit of work to make, though, so I was super happy to discover it can easily be made from TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pods.
All you have to do is pour the powdered mix packet into your favorite mug, place the TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® Pod into your coffee machine and brew it over the mix, then thoroughly stir and enjoy your chai latte in all it's creamy, relaxing goodness.
I especially like to relax with a tasty chai latte near the end of the day or on a weekend when I'm ready to clear my mind a bit and delve into a book, and with a bit of a sweet treat to snack on.
Speaking of sweet treats, Padma Lakshmi recently partnered with TAZO® to develop recipes that go perfectly with of a cup of chai that you can find here.
There are several great recipes there but I'm especially drawn to the cinnamon tea cookies. Yum! I bet they are all delicious, though, as tea and chai have always been a part of Padma's life and family heritage.
I know that we're heading into the season of warmer weather, but chai is such a delicious tea to enjoy even when it's hot outside.
There's just something about how all the warm spices smell and how the milk makes the tea full of creamy comfort that instantly relaxes you and makes you want to curl up with your favorite blanket.
