Turkey Wild Rice Soup

Ingredients

- Oil - Mushrooms - Butter - Carrots - Celery - Onion - Garlic - Flour - Broth - Half & half - Wild rice - Turkey - Thyme - Salt & pepper

Heat oil and then saute mushrooms until they start to brown.

Add butter and veggies and cook until softened.

Add in garlic and flour. Cook for at least one minute.

Stir in broth and half and half and cook until thickened.

Stir in turkey, rice, and seasonings. Simmer for a few minutes before serving.

Tip

Adding some fresh herbs as a garnish such as chopped parsley can help lighten the soup after heavy meals at Thanksgiving.
