Pasta with Pumpkin Sausage  Sauce

Ingredients

- Olive oil - Sausage - Onion - Garlic - Red pepper flakes - Sage - Broth - Wine (or more broth) - Pasta - Pumpkin - Nutmeg - Half and half - Salt & pepper - Cheese

Bring water to boil for pasta and heat up a large skillet.

Cook the sausage in the skillet until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Cook onion, garlic, and pepper flakes until onion is softened.

Add in sage leaves and white wine. Reduce. Start cooking pasta.

Add in broth, pumpkin, and spices. Heat until it starts simmering. Stir in cream and simmer until thickened.

Season sauce with salt and pepper. Add in cooked and drained pasta. Toss to coat.

Serve immediately with grated cheese, chopped sage, and extra pepper flakes

Tip

If you prefer to not use wine, just use additional chicken broth instead.
