Old Fashioned Buttermilk Pancakes

HOW TO MAKE

INGREDIENTS

Butter All-purpose flour Sugar Baking powder Baking soda Salt Buttermilk Eggs Vanilla extract Toppings

STEP 1

Melt butter  and set aside. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder & soda, and salt.

STEP 2

Whisk together buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla

STEP 3

Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and stir until almost combined.

STEP 4

Stir in butter and mix until evenly moistened. There will still be lumps.

STEP 5

Let batter sit for at least 10 minutes but no more than 1 hour.

STEP 6

Preheat skillet or griddle over medium heat then lightly grease. Pour on 1/4 cup batter for each pancake.

STEP 7

Cook for about 1 to 2 minutes until bubbles are forming on the surface and the bottom is browned. Flip and cook on the other side until browned.
