As I have mentioned recently, I’m not the best at eating breakfast even though I know it’s really healthy for me, so I looked forward to writing this Yopa! Greek Yogurt Review. I would love to be more motivated to eat a good breakfast, but I’m just one of those types that wakes up and usually doesn’t feel overly hungry for at least a couple hours. When I can talk myself into eating something for my health, I usually choose cereal or yogurt. I tend to go for yogurt because that way I can at least pair it with some granola and fruit so it’s quite healthy, but still light and tasty. If you’ve read many of the food posts here at Money Savvy Michelle this year, you’ve probably read about how I am trying to eat more naturally. I haven’t made the change 100%, but I have taken steps to be much more conscious of it and have to say I feel much better for it. In doing so, I’ve paid a lot more attention to food labels and have discovered how tough it can be to get snack foods and even dairy foods like yogurt that are made with natural ingredients. That’s why I was very interested when I was given the opportunity to participate in a Yopa! Greek yogurt review as the label states it’s made with natural ingredients.
Yopa! Greek Yogurt Review
I used to eat a lot of the flavored light yogurts, but after seeing how many are made with artificial sweeteners and trying to incorporate more protein into my diet, I slowly made the switch to Greek yogurt. I wish I had tried this stuff years ago as I find the thicker texture to be so much more palatable and love the tart flavor. I’m happy to say that Yopa! Greek yogurt is actually made with sugar with no signs of artificial sweeteners on the label and is also chock full of protein with 15g in the Vanilla with Toasted Almonds variety.
I chose to try the Vanilla with Toasted Almonds variety of Yopa! yogurt for this review and the ingredients are as follows: cultured pasteurized grade a nonfat milk, sugar, natural flavors. live and active cultures: S. thermophilus, L. bulgaricus, L. acidophilus, bifidus, L. casei., almond pieces. May contain traces of wheat, peanuts, soy or eggs.

How does Yopa! yogurt taste?
Now that we have all of the health stuff out of the way, let’s talk about how Yopa! yogurt actually tastes. I have to say it tastes delicious and I’m honestly rather picky about Greek yogurt. While I love the taste, some brands are just so chalky that I cannot stand it. Luckily, Yopa! is smooth and creamy without the chalk. When I opened the yogurt, there was a lot of liquid that had separated, but it easily stirred back in. I also love that the almond pieces were toasted and not at all stale. They were also pretty generous with I’d say at least a tablespoon of almonds. I really love the contrast of the creamy yogurt against the crunch of the nuts. The yogurt is a bit tarter than other Greek yogurts I have tried, but it’s not too tart and the mix-ins certainly help to balance it out. Plus, it is again made with sugar and not artificial sweeteners which I really appreciate.
Final Takeaway: I really enjoyed trying out Yopa! Greek yogurt and am happy to see a brand at my local grocery store that I feel good about purchasing instead of having to always go to a specialty store. Yopa! will certainly have a home in my fridge as a seek to live a more balanced and healthier life with good-for-me breakfasts and snacks.
