One thing I have always been thankful for is that my sight has always been pretty darn good. However, as I get older I know that it will not always be that way. But, so far I’ve been lucky. Most of my family has had major vision issues, though, and Mr. Savvy sees life mostly in blurs without his glasses. I’ll admit my good sight is something I generally take for granted as it’s not something I have to worry about at this point in life. But, I know my life would be severely negatively impacted if my sight were not so great and I didn’t have access to vision care. That’s why I’m writing about how we can all help provide global access to vision care with OneSight today.
Why Helping To Provide Vision Care Is So Important
I really can’t fathom having to live day to day life without being able to see clearly. I would always be afraid of where I was walking because I wouldn’t be able to tell if I was about to step on a cat or cat toy. I would have to really strain while proofreading my work which would be extra time consuming. Not to mention two of my favorite hobbies of taking photographs and cooking would be a lot more difficult. And don’t even get me started on driving. Mr. Savvy has taken his glasses off before and described how he sees things without them and it’s so hard to wrap my mind around. But, the truth is that a lot of people have to live with poor sight and all the challenges it brings due to not having access to vision care because of factors like location and finances.
How You Can Help Provide Vision Care To Those In Need
When you help the world see better you’re also helping the world live better. That’s a pretty impactful statement to really ponder in time for World Sight Day on Thursday, October 13th. When you donate just $10 to OneSight you’re helping provide a pair of glasses to someone in need. If you donate $30 you’ll be providing an eye exam and glasses to a person in need. Please donate here if you’d like to help someone be able to see clearly today.
You can also share the video below on social media and tag a couple of your friends to show how clear sight empowers us all to see a better future.
