This post about How Do You Get Your Family Up in the Morning is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pillsbury Toaster Strudel.
How do you get your family up in the morning? Do you have some sort of tried and true trick or do you just hope for the best that day? Mr. Savvy and I are both night owls, which means we really struggle with getting up early for our day. Even though Mr. Savvy works a traditional 8 – 5 job, it’s still difficult for him to get up with a regular schedule, while I’m thankful to work from home so my schedule is more flexible. Even so, I often get up before Mr. Savvy (especially on the weekend when I am now writing this and it’s almost noon!) and am usually stuck with getting Mr. Snooze Alarm up. Luckily, I’ve found a tried and true way of making sure he gets up. Well, 2 ways, really, but I definitely prefer one over the other.

One is to just not fill up the cat food bowl the night before and then lock myself in the bathroom in the morning so they pounce on him instead. However, this doesn’t make for a very productive day or happy Mr. Savvy, so I prefer my second method, especially since I get to benefit too. You know how they say the way to a man’s heart is with good food through his stomach? Well, good food works quite well for getting them up in the morning too!
Our mornings are pretty hectic, so I don’t usually make a big spread. Just something like bacon or sausage with eggs. When I want to make it special while still being quick, though, I break out the Toaster Strudel. Yes, we’re big kids at heart, but Toaster Strudel is definitely a more adult alternative to the traditional toaster pastries many of us grew up with, right? Plus, they’re extra special for Mr. Savvy because he was born in Germany and spent many of his childhood years there eating strudel.
I always find it cute how he talks about when he first moved to the states even though his father is American. Many things were culture shock, especially the food and things like toaster pastries. However, toaster strudels are pretty similar to what he had back in Germany. It makes me smile to see the new spokescharacter for Toaster Strudel, Hans Strudel, on the TV commercials since the Mr. is half German. It also makes me smile that Toaster Strudel is giving families across the country a reason to get moving in the morning by helping their morning wishes come true.
